Mafia — Privacy Policy

The short version

Mafia is a party-game moderator tool. Gameplay happens on your devices over your local network — game data never passes through our servers. The only data we store server-side is the optional cloud account: your chosen display name, your avatar, and (in the future) your game statistics.

What we collect

• Nothing, by default. Playing locally requires no account. Player names, roles, and game history stay on the players' devices.
• If you sign in with Apple (optional): we store your chosen display name, your avatar (a symbol name or a small photo you upload), and an anonymous user identifier issued by Sign in with Apple. We do not request or store your email address or real name.
• Game statistics: aggregate results (games played, wins, team, challenges) may be linked to your cloud account so they follow you across devices. Players without an account ("guests") are never uploaded.

What we do NOT do

• No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no tracking of any kind.
• No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
• No collection of contacts, location, or browsing data.

Where data is stored

Cloud accounts are stored with our hosting provider (Supabase) in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany), protected by row-level security: each user can only read and write their own account row.

Camera and local network

The camera is used only to scan a QR join code and no images are stored or transmitted. The local network is used only to connect players' phones to the moderator's phone during a game.

Deleting your data

Sign out removes the session from your device. To delete your cloud account and all associated data, contact us at the address below (in-app deletion is planned).
